Is Nuñez good enough to start for UMass-Lowell?
Not a sarcastic question, but he can’t stay in front of guys from Presbyterian Blue Hose or the Lowell River Hawks.
I cringe with him being on the floor against high level teams.

It’s time for the funky Cole Bajema.
Eli is by far the most improved player. A lot of people was upset when he signed and said that he couldn’t guard, wasn’t athletic enough to be a good defender…boy were people wrong. If Villanova.and osu want him…I would love to have him on my team. Anthony wright ( surprisingly coming from him because he was a low level recruit with less offers and stats than Eli) was a very big critic of him. This the perfect case - to never give up on players before they graduate. It took a while to for it to happen but these kids can become productive. This is why I would welcome a jace howard because you can developed very good players who weren’t highly ranked. Damien lillard. Ja morant…Cj McCullouch , Russell westbrook are very good examples. Also…I would love to keep Austin Davis around if we don’t get a top recruit for a fifth scholarship because he is showing me something in the limited time that he has played. I see what Belieien saw and the same with nunez. Eli is showing us all what he can do…that kid plays the right way and has a great basketball IQ.
Castleton has really poor basketball instincts
Yes…he started for us so why not? I’m not quite sure what your implying but it’s obviously he’s hood enough to start for a low major team. He started for us and had some good offers coming out of high school. I think that Nunez can contribute. He will definitely start for that team.
Huh? That’s not what happened at all. It was pushed as a straight up recruiting win over Nova and viewed positively. People were down on him after his freshman and sophomore years, but definitely not as a recruit.
Not really…he’s having a bad game.
Agreed he’s got the street cred to start anywhere he wants.
Lol… got me lol.
It’s now CJ time!
We need to clean up these turnovers…
Wilson finally gets on the board!
Luke Wilson hits a three in the final minute to secure Michigan a cover.
Wolverines are done with non-conference play after today’s 86-60 win over UMass Lowell.
Bajema has such a smooth jumper.
No sir…no sir…people were upset about his ranking and his competition. I remember seeing people saying that they hope he doesn’t sign his letter of commitment. Some thought that he would be a good player but others were very pessimistic before he stepped on campus. It was the same way about Austin Davis, the board was extremely pessimistic. All you heard about Eli was his competition was bad…he was not athletic enough to guard…he had no lateral quickness…people was still hoping that he transferred so that a scholarship would open. I see it all the time. Hell, people didnt even think that he was start - they want Franz to be our two guard and he is far from a 2 guard and the tape shows that. The critics only post when these kids have bad games. Had he had a unproductive season - there would have been criticism posting about how he needs to transfer every day lol…they aren’t posting when he does well. Some people only post to be pessimistic. Now I do admit some people has given him his credit. I’m didn’t make that post to bash people - just to give eli some props. So if it seemed that way but I apologize but please don’t make seem as if their was more praise than criticism and concern pertaining to eli when he committed. I’m just glad that he is proving the critics wrong… so they aren’t posting. The same with Austin Davis…kid can help us .
I would have liked to see Bajema get some run with the regular rotation in a game like today. He shows some stuff just about every time he gets an opportunity. He has a smooth jumper, nice handles and even had a couple steals and a block today. I’m not advocating regular rotation minutes but in games where the opponent is outmatched, I wish they would find him more minutes. Eli didn’t need to still be playing with under 5 to go.
If you constantly seek out slights you’ll find them anywhere. Nowhere near a significant portion of the fan base was upset with the signing.
Completely agree - I wanted to see more of Bajema and he shows you something each time he’s out there. Juwan’s done a nice job of getting guys minutes and showing his trust, but it’s gonna get harder to play 9 or 10 deep once league play starts. Hope he gets some more opportunities.
Another one of your self-congratulatory posts. How many about Brooks just this season?
