brandon johns won a championship
The look on Zakās face tells me he was guarded by Chaundee all night
Is he playing in a youth rec league?
badass beard
Weāll hear about this when Charles is on McCormickās podcast in the āMichigan Manā segment LOL
I donāt know if Charles Matthews was a NBA caliber player or not but it was terrible that he suffered a catastrophic injury in preNBA workouts.
Hopefully he is able to make a little money still playing somewhere.
Quick - someone file a lawsuit to get him a month of eligibility somehow so we can add him for the stretch run! Matthews that could hit jump shots would have been an NBA player - and he might have been without that just for his defense. Loved watching him lock up an opponent, especially after years of Beilein teams struggling on defense.
He was so fun to watch on defense
charles matthews⦠the kentucky transfer??
I think he couldāve at least been a mid-to-late 2nd round pick and played a little in the league. A two-way contact kind of guy.
Wasnāt sure where to post this, but 17 years ago today:
Beilein ball in a nutshell. Out rebounded 30-13, but won the turnover and three point shooting margins to beat the other team.
The LLP game!! I wonder how many players there are in Michigan history that are more associated with one game and one game only?
Others that come to mind:
The Kam Chatman game (I think this one might trump LLP. Literally a one shot career at Michigan)
The T Will game
The Roddy Gayle game (Roddy has had much more of a long term impact than these other guys but theres certainly one game that sticks out!)
Devante Jones against Ohio State with Dickinson out to get a berth to the ncaa and help get another sweet sixteen run
This is my best memory of him https://youtu.be/ghECms06qi8
Itās amazing that nobody on the team had more than 2 rebounds.
Iāve gone down into a Michigan at Minnesota wormhole:
Most of the guys in the highlights arenāt NBA players (Stu, Novak, J-Mo, Vogrich, Smot, etc.) so I guess itās still on topic.
