@Balas_Wolverine
Michigan is no longer pursuing WVU hoops transfer Eron Harris and he is not on campus. He will decide Monday.

There needs to be a “that sucks” reaction. Dang. Well if he is not going to Michigan, hopefully he is not going to MSU at least.
wth ?
Not happy.
We can talk talk talk talk about stud recruits but what HAS happened lately ?
Mahummad Ali Rahkman & Dawkins…geeeeez
Make it happen staff !!!
They always come around to my way of thinking eventually.
Wonder if that was our decision, or that Harris was no longer interested and communicated such? Sure puts more emphasis on Coleman now. Perhaps we have a good vibe on him?
I said a month ago that MSU was the more attractive situation and some disagreed vehemently.
You sure did buddy. I’m under the impression now that Harris cancelled and was not really that interested in us. What’s your take? He obviously knows where he wants to go.

I agree that our situation was not as attractive as Purdue or MSU, it’s just unfortunate to see one go to (likely) the bad guys.
more attractive?..ya - because he has to compete with MAR and Dawkins here…
whatever. Our talent is leaving & we are not doing a good job replacing considering a natl title runnerup & Elite 8. Talk all you want about our staff ability to improve players…but at some point you have to get them. Im really hoping 2016 will be a good year…but…not optimistic.
What is it with some people? It’s either doom and gloom or everything is amazing and Beilein is God. Is there no room for middleground with some fans? This was a tough miss, but there are other prospects on the board and we’ve gotten big wins when we didn’t expect them in the past (see: Kam Chatman).
Chezaroo,
Gary Harris and Eron are friends and Izzo promised him that role.
Caris may leave after next year and Irvin/Chatman/MAAR/Jalen Coleman is a more talented group than Valentine/Ellis/Bess/Ahrens.

Solid sleuthing my friend! I had heard that about Gary and Eron, have to think that we are all in on Coleman now!
Kam Chatman is it.
Doyle - who else wanted?
Wilson - who else wanted?
Marr - who else wanted?
Dawkins - who else wanted?
Seriously - who else wanted these guys? Not top level programs.
The ones we wanted and other programs wanted- - they got.
Can anyone truly ststae they are happy with Chatman, Doyle, Wilson, MArr, Dawkins as our last 5 commits after having such success? If the answer is yes- I believe your standards re Way too low.
I’m happy with our last 5 commits. And I don’t think my standards are low. I expect us to compete for a B1G championship every year.
I don’t get it. What happened? You would think he would at least visit. I guess the bright side is that this probably means Sparty is out for Coleman and maybe Brunson. On the other hand 2015 recruting becomes even more important and as of now it’s been a great big goose egg and nothing close to a sure thing on the horizon.
Wouldn’t get my hopes up for Brunson. It appears a full out attempt to woo Coleman now.
Just a sampling of some we wanted…Harris, Booker, Blackmon, Bluiett, Kennard, Grandstaff…and we end up with MARR and Dawkins. and your happy. Good for you. Im not.

I’m not either. 2015 recruiting has been very strange. We are coming off all this on court success, putting guys in the pros and we have nothing to show for it on the recurring trail. Now it’s Coleman or bust with bust looking more likely. I still love our staff but I’m very perplexed at theit inability to sign top notch wing candidates when they should all be drooling to play here.
Because I’m bored, I’ll play.
Doyle - Looks like Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Purdue and Stanford at least according to ESPN (http://espn.go.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/146023/ricky-doyle) By your definition though, I guess only OSU is a top level-ish program
Dawkins decided between us and an Elite 8 team, (since that is part of your reasoning why we should be getting better recruits), Dayton. Yes, I am being facetious.
MAAR - VCU and Harvard, but those aren’t good enough programs right?
Wilson - Gonzaga, USC, Harvard, again I guess none of those are good enough
Here’s a couple of profiles from a top level program, with a top coach, NCAA titles, and crappy weather, UConn:
UMass, St. Johns, & Seton Hall were the other major suitors for this year’s NCAA Tournament MOP Shabazz Napier
Oklahoma, UNLV, and WVU were Ryan Boatright’s other choices
Okay, but those weren’t top level recruits or NBA guys…
Kemba Walker was a 5-star to rivals - his other offers? Cincy, Providence & St. Johns
Jeremy Lamb - Georgia & Texas
Lots of words to say: My standards are a winning program, a top level program. A team full of players that buy into being a team. Not a team full of purported 5-stars who everybody else wanted. You can have the high school prom queen, I’ll take the college Miss America.
Point is…We are not getting who we really want. Well - maybe you are.
But the coaching staff is not…and neither am I. We had to “rush” evaluations to get MARR and Dawkins. We are missing our prioritized recruits.
