Eric Davis Highlights

No slight to Florida, UCLA, NC St and Illinois but UM/MSU (yuck) clearly have more immediate playing time and better guard development (UM mainly), even if both are taken. If MSU adds any combo of Turner, Brunson and a transfer, we’d clearly have more of a need for both. That said, I agree that Eron Harris is 1a, MGoBlueAdam.

Talked to Davis tonight. He liked his Michigan visit, but is still far away from a decision. Officials to UNLV and UCLA are next up for him (but haven’t been scheduled yet). He wants to decide in the fall.

Will have the update on the site in the AM.

Interesting. If we get Eron Harris, will he open to the idea of play behind Harris or a year or two and develop his PG skills. I know little about this kids but I hope that he has patience.

Update is live on the front page

No way he would be a pg first at Michigan. If that is what he wants to play, he will be going elsewhere which is fine. I’d prefer one of Harris or the Jalens anyway.

I agree, but if he wants the best chance at playing PG in the NBA, Michigan is obviously his best option.

I think I might prefer Davis to Coleman. It is close.

I don’t see any of the schools on his list letting him play PG fyi

@guestavo what are your reasons? Almost everything I have heard clearly has Coleman as the better player and prospect

Coleman is a much better shooter and supposedly a good defender… I’m not sure there is one clear area of the game where Davis is better… And they are pretty much the same size and athletic ability

I think Davis seems to be a a better dribble drive guy, transition player and MUCH better passer. I love his pull-up game. He also seems to have more physical development to go than Coleman, as he is all arms and legs.

Coleman is obviously the better shooter, defender, off ball scorer and vertical athlete. If we get Harris, he is redundant, though.

Which, in this case, is a good thing.

Frankly, I would just like to land any 1 of the three of Coleman, Harris, and Davis. I’m sure I’ll enjoy their game and it will be nice to have a good SG available in 2015.

Totally agree. I’d be very happy with one of these three. Whichever wants to be a Michigan man. Then add Esa for the icing and move along to 2016.

Do we know when Esa is visiting?

He’s the guy I want most. An absolute match-up nightmare, and in JB’s offense, he’ll play himself into a lottery pick before it’s all said and done.

He is visiting in early June

Not getting my hopes up on Ahmad, he looks like a great player but not sure he will be landing here. Just based on what I have been reading.

If OSU really wants him, they get him.

Wait, didn’t you hear that Davis is a GLIAC level player :))

You are more blunt than I.

My hope is that Matta get Bragg and we get Ahmed.

Coleman is twice the player Davis is, if not 3 times the player.

It’ll be interesting to see how Davis’s career plays out. If he signs with Michigan I’ll be rooting for him, but I would not be shocked if he ends up at a MAC level school or in the GLIAC before he graduates. I stand by my statement.
