Darius Morris on the tourney game that 'put U-M back on the map'

Ah, memories. How typical of a rebound was that by Zach, fending off a guy four inches taller? I’ve always thought it was a great look for Darius, but also that Stu was open for the win. The interesting thing from this piece is Darius saying that JB told the players to go for the two and OT.

I’ve always had the same thought re: Stu. Darius probably made the right play, but if he passes it to Stu I think we win. And I had the same admiration for Zack’s rebound.

Re: Beilein’s guidance, my guess is it was to go for the best available quick shot and look first for the two from Darius off penetration.

I remember turning my phone off because I couldn't watch that game live then almost losing hope when we went down 15. I still think morris hurting his wrist affected that shot and that THJ was the best option to tie the game, if they were going that route.

Hardaway was in the corner near our bench waiting for a 3 to win it. If he gets the pass, I have no doubt we are celebrating like maniacs because we just won the game.
