I am reminded by this Cuse-Virginia game that Fox’s agreement with the big ten putting some of our mid-tier games on FS1 instead of ESPN is an insane blessing. Any extra games with no Dan Dakich is a major win.
Syracuse-Virginia in OT. Cuse hits 3 3s in a row. And it represents nearly 20% of their points for the entire night. Absolutely brutal game
Virginia, down 5, plays a great defensive possession, forces a 35 foot fade-away at the buzzer from Beoheim’s kid. Banks it in lol.
Terrible home loss.
Clemson misses two free throws down 1 with 15 seconds left at UNC.
They’re playing the game of fouls now.
Edit: Overtime
And they win. Is it possible Carolina ends with a losing record.
KenPom has them finishing the regular season 14-17.
My bald Carolina buddy may have more grey hair on his back than most on their head if that happens. Haha!
UCLA looks like a group of guys that just walked onto a court and decided to play together. No chemistry at all.
It seems worth pointing out that this is actually the first time Clemson has ever won at UNC. They’re now 1-59.
Down goes Duke. Clemson had now defeated UNC and Duke in back-to-back games.
Duke losing equals a great day for the world.
Seton Hall goes into Hinkle Fieldhouse and comes out an eight point winner. Suddenly the Pirates have now won seven in a row and are 13-4 (5-0 in Big East play) with some impressive road victories.
South Carolina downs Kentucky. Ha!
SOUTH CAROLINA BEATS KENTUCKY AT THE BUZZER
Dylan I was looking back at the two rough drafts I came up with for “ the basketball pool” or whatever it was called (I passed out the night it was due and missed it). My original roster was looking pretty sweet outside of my two highest “cap picks” pretty bitter I missed out. I would have fallen back later in all likelihood due to Unc and Florida being my two big buys.
But if had
Butler
West Virginia
UCLA (ouch)
Indiana
Wichita st
unc (ouch)
Florida
Harvard
Houston
Then I had a six and five , forget who though.
That was my original line up. I toyed with another that I can’t remember but I do remember it not being as good as the above.
Oregon loses to Wazzu in Pullman. Ducks trailed for basically the entire game and looked like crap against probably the second-worst team in the P12 (who happened to be missing three players according to the broadcast).
Still salty about that loss.
Yea just think if that tip goes in. It’s absurd to think about but looking at our resume it looks drastically different just off one tip.
Not that Unc sucks along with Iowa st and we blow that minny game , that Oregon Game would have been HUGE. Honestly Michigan should have won. That catastrophe of a half and they still have control.
One thing I think will help is Purdue is about to get on a roll so that win might look nice in a month.
Yeah the nonconference resume doesn’t look as good as it once did. Oregon win sure would have been nice. Otherwise, it’s just Gonzaga (awesome win) and Creighton at home.
I said at the time I thought that Oregon game was a huge difference maker in our resume. That looks even more true now with UNC a disaster and road wins looking few and far between.
