College Basketball Open Discussion

Thanks Dylan for the legitimate reply to my question on proposed rule changes. :slightly_smiling_face:

I thought this was interesting and would love to hear who you guys would choose. Personally, I’d choose Trey Burke (pretty basic choice I know :joy:)

Trey Burke would be a pretty seamless addition. I’d say either him or a on ball wing like Levert or Stauskas who can create on the wing at the 2 or 3.

I’d go with (healthy) Caris and have Eli be like a freshman Derrick Walton kind of PG.

Burke is the obvious choice right? Elite point guard play on a team without a ton of guard creation.

I’d go with Glen Rice, Gary Grant or Rickey Green.

A wing duo of Caleb Houston and Glen Rice would be amazing!

The way the game is played today. Glen Rice hands down.

Coleman-Lands paying homage to Duncan Robinson by wearing #55 with Kansas. It all comes full circle.

#55 is good. Underused and underappreciated.

Not sure where this goes but Texas and Oklahoma have officially announced they are leaving the Big 12.

So that conference is the Big 10 now? Still waiting on ours to be called the Funky 14.

Actually the Big 12 was already down to 10. Now it has 8, but really it’s just dead. The remaining members will try to join the B1G, ACC, and Pac-12.

CBB is in a decent place but I think this will pretty much kill CFB.

Okay, so who plays in the Norris Division and who plays in the Smythe?

It’s all about the Patrick IMO

I kind of feel like CFB was already dead. Now CBB is gonna take more hits as a side effect of a desperate attempt to squeeze more money out of a horrible product.

All a bit depressing. I feel quite dated remembering the days where the Rose Bowl was truly the bee’s knees. I feel even more dated by using “bee’s knees”.

Current state, yeah. 12 team playoff had a chance at reinvigorating things IMO. I was interested in seeing where that went. This just sucks though.

would welcome KU to the B1G in a heartbeat.

Why? What do they bring? I get that they’re a big basketball program, but they’re also dirty and about to get the NCAA book thrown at them (well…if the NCAA actually cared to punish anyone). They bring not just nothing but a negative in football - well worse than our bottom feeders. The B10 is already the best basketball conference without them. Geographically they don’t bring a new market for revenue. Academically they’re not a top-100 school. They have no natural rival in our conference…

I don’t want expansion period - certainly not just for the sake of expansion. I’d rather partner with the P12 and create a joint agreement to play each other, share TV contracts, have a B10/P12 game in the Rose Bowl after Thanksgiving, etc.
