I liked Calhoun. Thought he was great. Beating unbeatable Duke for a Natty was one of my fav, non Michigan, college bball moments. Couple other favorable Calhoun moments; Pointedly saying he wasn’t a better coach for winning the natty And……the never to be forgotten praising of freshman Stu Douglas after M gave UConn a scare

Calhoun may have been the meanest coach in the country and treated people terribly. An amazingly good coach, but a bad human being. Maybe even worse than Bobby Knight.

Before conference realignment I would have proposed:
Every team is “in” the NCAA tournament. Start with the Conference tourneys. Then take the 32 winners of those and reseed. It would have made the last two months of the season insanely tense.
