maybe I was just tricked by the commentators, but he always seemed like a pretty good passer to me - this reads like sour grapes. (which I also have, in spades, about the situation)

Yeah, Hunters passing was solid and maybe even good for a college big. He had more than his share of cross court successful passes. Compare him to other centers too…Edey, TJD, Sissoko, Teske, Diabate…
Hunter is incredibly annoying and I really hope he comes to regret the way he exited Michigan, but the fact is he is a very talented basketball player that we’re going to miss more often than not all of the extracurricular stuff we won’t miss, but the encore stuff was mostly good

If you think HD was not a good passer (he was), wait until you see Michigan’s center this year. Hunter will look like Magic Johnson in comparison.

I totally agree with this take and have posted this before. Hunter may have been good at spotting the open man (which should be easy for someone 7’1”), but his passes were often off the mark or late and made it difficult for the receiver to catch and shoot.
Hunter was an average passer. That’s why I said he’s not in the same universe as Jokic and it was comical Kansas suggested they can use him like Jokic.
I mean, there’s a very wide gulf between “jokic-level” (or even being in the same universe as jokic) and “average”

Exactly my point. The Jokic selling point Kansas used was hyperbolic and idiotic from a basketball standpoint.
Selling points in recruiting are hyperbolic. Don’t sweat 'em.
Just like Michigan selling kids on being Jordan Poole when this staff didn’t coach Jordan Poole.
Ignore all of that noise and move on.

It’s pretty wild. There was so much hype about the money WVU spent and it seems like they jumped the gun and didn’t do a lot of due diligence? A good lesson.
