Agreed. I’m also not necessarily trolling. I hope May does well but I’m skeptical overall more based on how his team moved up a level and struggles were real. I liked what i saw against Arizona that was great. Still need more than that to in order to win in a better conference though.
Michigan hired May, not FAU. So some of the specifics about that team aren’t particularly important.

That makes no sense because his team as a whole moved up. It’s completely different than taking a job at a higher level. The fact that the team he built at a lower conference was still the best team at the new and better conference is nothing but a feather in his cap regardless of the defensive drop

Yup, if FAU had finished 5th or 6th then it would be a strike against May, but they finished 2nd. I don’t get the whining about it. Sure their defense got worse, but that is to be expected when you have all guard and a big line up moving up in competition level.
