College Basketball 2022-23 Discussion

@kturnup would like to have a word with you!

Efton reid facing similar challenges I believe. probably how a guy like Jaylon Tyson ends up at Cal

Cal hired Tech’s recruiting director. Going to guess that relationship played a big part in it too considering Kansas was interested.

So 6 total are in the portal that aren’t already accounted for.

Wasn’t really thinking about the portal here, just a good list of names who may be back on rosters this year.

Grads can still portal, FWIW.

Roach just seems fine? He was decent as a freshman, and has just sort of not gotten better?

I liked him more this year. Roach and Proctor back? Filipkowski. Things can happen but Duke should be in a Final Four.

sounds like a lot of conference realignment chatter could start back up by Memorial Day. Oregon + Washington to the B1G perhaps, but more verifiably, the ACC appears to be breaking up from within

them being called the magnificent 7 portends a new conference that’s a shoddy remake of the original

Not sure why UNC and UVA would partake in this Magnificent 7 rather than make their own push to join the Big Ten. If you’re splitting from the ACC, you might as well try for a more lucrative deal and both of those schools make sense in the Big Ten.

Wonder how much of UVA’s “territory” is already covered by Maryland being in. I would imagine they’d take UNC in with little hesitation.

Duke to the Big East eventually? Football independent?

I’d always been told the “grant of rights” thing was a non-starter financially. If the ACC is breaking apart then the B10 should shop there instead of the rest of the P12.

Another add for our future opponent

Didn’t this kid never play?

True freshman last season and a former top 50 recruit. Not saying he’s elite, but a solid pickup for them

Ah ok. Thought he was a grad
