An hour and a half until tipoff and with us only playing one game in the past 12? Days, I am hoping we come out and put northwestern away quickly because if we win this one we have a huge game tomorrow. I don’t see it happening but I kind of want to see Dawkins start and Duncan come off the bench, let him get a feel for the game for a few minutes and then bring him in. I see us winning this game but I hope it doesn’t come with playing our starters 38 minutes in a close game. GO BLUE!

We need to play with the defensive intensity we showed late or we lose by 15 tomorrow. Northwestern can’t shoot, Indiana can.
Another question. How is northwestern 20-12 yet not in top 100of rpi?
Just barely. Now gotta beat the odds against Indiana.
At the very least, need to avert a blow out. Even if they’re bubble/in now (unlikely), they won’t be if they lose by 20+. Eye test!

Donnal didn’t show up. Again. If beilein believed dj is a better defender, bringing him in to play defense. Why in the world can’t he be in the game more? I see so much there and when didn’t doesn’t show up at all, why not try him out?
They gotta give Chatman more minutes to rest Irvin. He’s bigger has been shooting well (besides that ugly air ball) and can play better D.
I agree. I like the way he’s been playing and hustling. Way more hustle than Dawkins, which is pretty sad with all that athleticism.
We have a potential upset on the horizon…Iowa and Illinois is a good game right now, for those not watching, I suggest you put it on.
Duke ND way better
Auguste is a beast. If we aren’t going to recruit elite big men (because let’s face it, we can’t with our current staff), we need to get guys like Auguste. Not a super highly rated recruit–other than ND, his best offer was probably UVA (before they were good). He has steadily improved each year, and he is averaging 15 and 10 as a senior. He has 19 and 18 in this game.
Athleticism is also side to side movement, which Dawkins is poor at. Dawkins can jump, that’s it.
Plays with great emotion and has a high motor. That is why MattD and others put such an emphasis on motor
