Big Ten Open Thread -- 1/10 Weekend

OSU @ IU right now on ESPN
Michigan-Minnesota on ESPNU
Maryland @ Purdue (2:30)

Sunday
WI @ Rutgers, NW @ MSU, Illinois at NEB

Upset alert with UK/A&M

Sparty’s win at Iowa looks huge right now. We will need a couple quality road wins ourselves if we are going to make the tourney.

NW and MSU tied up at 68 with 2:54 to play. BTN.

Went to overtime after NW missed a chance to win at the buzzer, but MSU pulling away in OT.

Badgers in a dog fight in Jersey. Rutgers leads 54-53 with 5:55 to play and Kaminsky and Jackson are both out with injuries.

Was really surprised with Rutgers quickness. Even with the injuries to Wisky this was a very valiant effort by the Scarlet Knights. After watching NU battle State to the wire ( incredibly hit 12-15 shots at one point ) I’m less inclined to think those are potential road wins for us. Hey, we’re in a four way tie for 1st place after 4 league games. How crazy is that?

Rutgers win. Only watched the end of the game because of the NFL playoffs but Rutgers scored on some nice drives to the basket

Rutgers wins and Michigan is now tied for first place with Wisconsin, Michigan State and Maryland.

…with the youngest team in the conference. Can you imagine if Michigan had the luxury of upperclassmen that Wisconsin and MSU have?

It is because of this that I tend to agree that one or two really impact players in the 2016 class coupled with Teske makes 2016-2017 another year to REALLY make a run.
