Still curious about how MSU would make this work with only one available scholarship and no obvious transfer candidates.
dear hauser bros plz go to virginia kthxbye
Probably Ahrens medical retirement
That was the only thing I could think of, too, but I thought I recalled reading both he and Izzo definitively stating Ahrens would be back next season, but maybe those were more emotional responses.
I wonder if Belein would kick the tires if they donāt get any grad transfers. Heāll have 2 open scholarships and though they wouldnāt be eligible this year 2020 and beyond would look strong as far as bigs with Castleton, Sam (in 2020), and Joey in the fold
I know most are caught up in the coaching search, but this is major Big Ten news:
Sign me up for Bohannon as a grad transfer in 2020.
Given the makeup of their roster, thatās a huge blow to Iowa.
Iowa will miss his 3 points over the first 36 minutes and 9 points over the last 4.
This is a huge blow to Iowa, the kid can flat out fill it up! And he has no conscience, heāll fire from anywhere!
I miss that worldā¦
Yeah, Connor McCaffrey is gonna have to play 30+ minutes a game if Bohannon is out. Hawks have an incoming PG recruit by the name of Joe Toussaint who had mostly mid-major offers (#227 Composite) and then a rising sophomore named Austin Ash (who appears to be a walk-on) as other PG types. Not ideal.
Yeah, it was trippy reading a comment about Beileinās roster management before I realized it was two weeks oldā¦
Plus Cook and Moss leaving.
Joe Wieskamp withdraws from NBA Draft and will return to Iowa. Should have a monster sophomore season.
Nice player. Big future.
Great for Iowa, bad for the rest of the Big Ten.
Especially with the likely loss of Bohannon, Wieskamp could see some sophomore year Nik Stauskas like usage next year.
That is a scary thought. Wieskamp definitely seems like heās good enough to maintain his ORtg while increasing his usage into the low/mid-20s.
Might have him run some lead guard. Would help his stock.
