Big Ten Discussion

I have heard about inheriting a barren cupboard before but geez… rough start to the hoiberg era

Last one out please turn off the lights.

Not really sure there was much talent worth keeping.

It’s a clear “Year 0” situation, not dissimilar to Scott Frost with the football program, meaning he’ll get a freebie year where results won’t really matter.

Yeah i agree. I just expected a handful of warm bodies to be held over, even if they were at the end of the bench

Good year to play Nebraska twice…

Umm I’d take Moss. Time to be on the receiving end of one of these intraconference transfers.

Moss would be REAL nice on this Michigan team next year IMO.

Was just looking at the way to early top 25 on ESPN. The big ten is stacked. Scary tough league next year, Ohio State is concerning.

How is OSU concerning?

They have a good team. I might not rank them as high as ESPN but that’s a nice team. They have a great recruiting class, a top big big man in the country, and numerous young guys who had big games albeit sporadically. Walker is also coming in from Fla st. I also like Holtmann. They are going to be a pain next year.

I also didn’t realize Cowan was a junior. Maryland Should be a tough team.

I think ESPN had everyone a little too high (including us at 5, even after the three departures).

I see us around 10, OSU and Maryland in the 15-25 range, Iowa in the 20-30 range, and maybe teams like Illinois and Purdue making the tourney. MSU, until they prove otherwise, is top 1-3. I think Wisconsin and Minny take a step back, PSU will be tough to beat, and who knows with Indiana?

I could see that but when you look it might be accurate. None of these other teams really bring back stacked rosters too.

I’m high on OSU. Losing Woods and Jackson but bringing in Walker and three of the top freshman in the conference. Honestly, I think they have a ceiling of a top-two team in the conference. Don’t know if they’ll reach that, but with what they return there’s some reasons to be worried about them.

Good for him. Kid just continues to impress. Much respect for him but I hope we flip the script this year.
