MSU has a good team this year, a very resilient group of players, a lot of chips on their shoulder.
I donât see MSU losing many games this year. They set up their schedule very well and they have a great team.
In what way did they set up their schedule?
MSU has looked very good but 3 of their next 5 are @PU, @ILL (which causes TOs and may be finding their stride), and @Wiscy. Iâm not ready to assume theyâll waltz into Crisler undefeated in conference.
Other game today is Iowa @Minny, big for both teams. The line is even, and Iâm not confident in either team. Seems like it might be a high scoring affair, above the over/under of 153.
HUGE game for Sparty today at Purdue. If they win that it will be tough to catch them. Really need them to lose.
Izzo is starting to remind me of John Gotti. I guess itâs the way they both peacock around in fancy suits with their chests puffed while sporting self-satisfied smiles. And now that Izzoâs hair is turning grey I see both the resemblance and the similar aura.
Gotti was a better dresser.
Thatâs true. Gotti was a better dresser and he wasnât as sneaky as Izzo. But Tom is probably a better basketball coach.
Who knew Purdue could play defense like this?
MSU with 19 first half points.
Down 18 at the break.
Michigan Stateâs role players have disappeared
Purdueâs defense is fantastic today. Their offense is actually looking really good when they stay within it. Edwards playing hero ball is the only thing not working for them.
Would have never predicted a near 20 point halftime lead for Purdue where Edwards only has 3 points
MSU in big trouble today. I just donât see them digging out of this hole.
Great game plan by Purdue. Full court pressure from Eastern on Winston is really working out well. Winston going to be running on fumes by the end of this one. Heâs having to work extremely hard.
Development of Purdueâs frosh, Willams, Wheeler and Hunter are the difference for Purdue versus earlier this season. Their schedule the rest of the way is favorable. They still have a chance for the B1G title.
UM having Purdue only at home and early is a big advantage. We may see them in again in Chicago in March!! UM gets the tie breaker!
Edwards 1-8 today so far
When Edwards plays heroball Purdue looks average. When other guys contribute and he doesnât hog the ball they are very good.
The guy who doesnât rank teams because they are âafraidâ to play on the road would like to remind you that blowout road losses donât matter and shouldnât affect rankings whatsoever
The elite MSU three point defense does not look elite today
One Shining Podcast guys had Couch on to explain his voting process. I donât think he realized it was a joke.
