I never love them but there have been a bunch of teams that I respected over the years, I really think this current team is one of the weaker units in a bit despite the record…

Davis is an absolute beast, I can’t lie but the rest of the team is so meh this year.

I will say though, had covid not ruined the tourney two years ago, I would have loved to see how they ended up. When they whooped us late in the year two years ago, sadly there was nothing flukey about it. They were just that good… It was the most helpless I had felt watching a game in a long time, becuase if I recall MIchigan played well, they were just that good.

I remember thinking I was going to take them on the very deep run in at least a couple brackets.

Illinois went from up 7 with 2:30 left in the first half to down 11 with 15:30 left in the second.

If OSU could hold on it would go a long way to us being a Purdue win @ Wisconsin away from dodging Wisconsin, Illinois, MSU or OSU from winning the B1G

A few of the intriguing reasons to continue watching this game are:

Can Illinois make a run and get back into this?
Can Ohio State keep up this outstanding run?
(and probably the most compelling) 3) Will Brad Underwood’s head explode?

I was hoping they’d win so they’d have a let down game against us this weekend. But of course, now that they lost they simply have to go all out against their biggest rivals on Sunday.

I have to imagine OSU takes a step back next year with no Liddell, Young, Wheeler or Russel but man Brahman is going to be annoyingly good.

I would have given up my no school/icy day yesterday to witness Underwood’s reaction to Kofi’s 5th foul right there. That would have been All-Time.

Malaki Branham has been extremely impressive tonight. I am also reinforced in my belief that Kyle Young’s absence for last year’s tournament prevented Ohio State from a long run. Glue guy that gets his.
