I think I’m all in on Rutgers. They might have been horrible two months ago but I think they’re very good now. Mulcahy/Baker/Harper/Omuruyi is a better top 4 that can actually play on the floor together at once than anybody has in the conference except for maybe Illinois

You also don’t need to go all the way back to two months ago. 3 weeks ago they had a 1-3 stretch with losses to Minnesota, Maryland and Northwestern and a 2 point win over Nebraska. It is wild how good they’ve been playing over this current four game stretch. They’ve arguably had the worst and the best four game stretch in the conference. Jekyll and Hyde

Mulcahy best assist guy in the league, two scorers, Omuruyi solid. Wisconsin and OSU both have stars but their 3rd/4th options feel like they’re far behind. Purdue I guess would work but you’re still working with Stafanovic + Thompson/Gillis/Hunter is the 3/4th. But I just love the way those four fit together.

Yeah the 3rd and 4th guys might be better than most, but Ivey/Edey or Williams is significantly better than Baker/Harper so I don’t think the 3rd/4th quite makes up for that difference.
After Purdue and Illinois, there is a gap though and Rutgers is in that next group

They might win it, but are certainly getting some assists on it.
