I appreciate it. Any nepotism marginally hurting their program is cool with me.
There is no way Ohio State finishes in front of Michigan in the B1G conference season this year. ( Barring injuries ) Who are their consistent dependable scorers?
UMass-Lowell is usually pretty horrible, but I’m pretty impressed with their offensive ball movement/approach today tbh. Scoring on some pretty good D that OSU is playing.
Michigan could easily start off season 11-0 they have an easy non-conference schedule and then first 6 games of Big Ten not very tough with no fans should be able to win at Maryland. Will Michigan only playing 25 schedule games hurt chances at tourney a lot of other Big teams like MSU play 27 games.
Super pumped for IU-Providence about to tip off. I find myself rooting hard for the Friars. No B1G solidarity here.
edit: it’s also Torvik’s #1 game of the day per his thrill quotient.
Nothing says thrilling like Archie Miller vs. Ed Cooley.
But I’m also tuned in.
Providence looks awful
The announcers being remote has sent Bill Walton even further off-topic than usual. I find his act charming but I would rather learn something about these teams. Michigan is playing Indiana this year, let’s hear about their new freshmen and what offense they’re running. Instead it’s a debate about how to pronounce “Worcester”
Sort of regretting my decision to watch this
I think Kenpom (46) has Providence pegged better than Torvik (18). Providence was so so bad for the first 2 months of last season and then inexplicably good in January and February.
Indiana is looking good but Providence is barely even participating in this game.
Why does Ed Cooley want this? The slowest play development leading to the hardest shot possible?
Indiana up 37-24 at halftime.
Just put the game on while “working” and saw a stat on the broadcast–I think it was 9 made field goals/9 turnovers for the Friars haha Cooley seems like a nice enough man, but thank god I don’t have to suffer through that as a fan.
True although we had 12 FGM to 15 TO at halftime yesterday…
Talk of Cooley has me wary of a Warde Manuel-led search to replace Harbaugh.
True. Though Indiana isn’t running out a zone 100 percent of their defensive possessions
I still presume Warde will sign Harbaugh to an extension. No coaching search for a few more years.
The other game that is supposed to be tight today is Alabama vs Stanford. Could be a good bubble resume builder for the winner down the road.
