Absolute beat down.
Took me a second to understand how IU was leading by 19 when their four factor numbers were so bad. Then I realized they were the black bars! Think you got the colors backward, Dylan.
I remember when recruiting analysts tried to tell me how great of x and o coach Ed Cooley is
Unacceptable early season execution!
on SLOBs maybe? his halfcourt sets are so bad it almost looks purposeful
Heâd also be recruiting the same level as Juwan
No one gets more out of the flex offense!
The fact that he refuses to come off of it after years of terrible results says it all about his stubbornness, ability to self evaluate and ability to stay up on modern concepts. Heâs basically at the perfect program where he can get away with those things and keep people happy.
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but Illinois missed on a VERY important target today, Mac Etienne, and their fans are now absolutely panicking. Must have been a bad miss. Wasnât really a recruitment I knew anything about.
UPDATE: I went on their 247 board and they are simultaneously livid and depressed. Anyone know anything about this recruitment? Based on what I saw, it looks like they really needed a big for next season and now they are almost out of options.
Basically they were banking on him being the kofi replacement and one of their assistants had a long term relationship with him. Itâs been a disastrous recruiting cycle for them, theyâve missed on top target after top target.
Yea I normally like some Bill Walton experience, but the remote aspects of that made it tough to watch as they kept talking over each other. Oh and the game was a snoozer which didnât help. IU looked pretty good.
Weird that theyâre doom and gloom about a miss like that when the transfer portal is going to be a free for all this year. Seems like the perfect time to strike out if it was gonna happen.
That would never happen here
LOL at Sparty having the worst record in the Champions Classic at 3-6 with 4 straight loses. Hoping for 5 straight tomorrow.
I am certainly happy that Juwan Howard was the choice and not Ed Cooley. I donât think we would have been able to gloat about the #1 2021 class if Cooley were here.
The mock drafts Iâm looking at right now have Cockburn at 60, unlisted (1st round only), unlisted (1st round only), and unlisted (1st round only).
Is the thought process behind him being 100% gone based on the Law of Nobody Who Tests The Waters Comes Back a Second Time or is he on 1st round mocks that Iâm not looking at?
Everything that I heard during the process was that Cockburn really wanted to stay in last year. I think that is pretty understood and guys who want to be pros generally turn pro.
My brain wants to pull for the B1G in any nonconference because itâll benefit Michigan if the conference is good, but my heart wants a duke dub
