2025-26 NBA Discussion

He was an interesting prospect, but Franz would have been great for them while Kuminga was a wild card. Maybe at that point GSW was able to gamble on wild cards, but still….

At that time though , I’m not sure most GMs could see this coming from Franz. I saw him for two years and I thought his ceiling was a nice two way option who was more of a number 3 type on a roster who played good d. Now that would have worked for the Warriors but picking that high they were swinging for the fences.

Kuminga probably seemed like the safer pick to be that guy at the time. I know I thought he was the safer bet to be an All Star if you put a gun to my head.

I’ve been waiting for a non-balding player to shave his head!

Daniss Jenkins should be getting more minutes even when the Pistons are fully healthy. He only played 6 minutes last night, didn’t miss a shot and had 3 assist. Ivy had a good shooting game last night but Jenkins is just better than both Ivy and Caris right now

While both Ivey (shooting) and Caris (passing and D) played well in the 2nd half (Caris has a really bad time passing in his first stint), I was surprised that Jenkins didn’t get a shift after halftime.

Honestly, Cade could’ve used some time off the court. He had his worst game of the year. I think his right hand/wrist still isn’t right.

Could there have been a bit of showcasing going on re: Ivey? I mean, Daniss is the backup PG but for whatever reason Ivey got some of those minutes last night.

forget the projections for each, Franz was simply a better fit at the time

I doubt it. Despite Ivey shooting 75% from the floor and 60% from 3, he still only played 17 minutes. That’s just a hair above the 16.8 mpg he averaged in December and he’d been averaging a little above 20 mpg in January.

The Pacers are bad, but Detroit is just destroying them at home.

19 is the record for fewest points scored in a half since the 24 second shot clock was introduced, so this is historically bad for the Pacers. But then again, nobody in the state of Indiana cares.

If we beat Boston on Monday, lead for top of the conference will jump to 5 or 5.5 games if I’m doing my math right

Yes 9 games in the loss column clear of Cleveland for the division as well

As always take it with a grain of salt.
