Illinois can get away with these starts against Northwestern and Nebraska, but not here. Needs to figure it out soon.

Loyola is doing a phenomenal job cutting off U of Iâs penetration so far - the thing that killed us. Their defense looks legit.

I suspect they group certain teams together to increase the likelihood of specific matchups that are interesting from a narrative perspective. Not that hard. I could be wrong.
Itâs almost like you canât just project a teamâs performance from the first round into the secondâŚ

The people who have been in the room all deny this. People whoâve participated in a mock selection committee say basically the same thing I did â they just donât have time to worry about that kind of thing.
The NCAA tournament doesnât need narratives. It does just fine on its own.
