But I think he was a good motivator for a pack of hungry dogs, but year in year out, he’s been exposed as a terrible coach.

Yikes. I’m now even more thankful that MSU found an exciting way to gack up that First Four game two days ago (but feels more like a week ago). Their smug fans would be even smuggier. (“More Smug” would probably be the proper usage, but “smuggier” describes State fans more appropriately.)

To be fair, I couldn’t have been the only guy yelling “guard the inbounds pass!” at the TV when I saw ACU’s defense. The guy nearest the ball couldn’t make up his mind what he was defending.

Just heartbreaking stuff for VCU. I remember reading about Bones’ incredible story when we were recruiting him two years ago. He’s come a long way into becoming a legitimate NBA prospect now, and may not have the chance to play in the tourney.
