Izzo just always seems so out of control
Tomâs shocked but pretends to be bemused the reporters asked about the altercation. Imagine.
âThat was a normal nothingâ
[tee he he giggle giggle]
Kenny Smith keeping it real. Notion that players are Izzoâs children highly dubious, especially given racial dynamic. Parents, going forward, will decide for themselves. Canât see it helping recruiting, though. If youâre very visibly not getting along with players, that speaks for itself. As does the lack of organization on the court.
This was so much fun!!!
I donât wish to ever save MSU grief, but fck, Izzo is losing his sht. Bad look for the conference.
Daang, from the official account??

Just had my 10 year old sister fill out a bracket.
Thought she was going to randomly pick winners by mascots and logos but she put me through an intensive 3 hour research marathon by demanding the analytics for all 64 teams ranging from pace of play, shot distribution, to even the the KenPom luck metric
Sheâs got Baylor winning it all because âthey play fast and shoot threes well.â
!!!
I went to bed with the Rocket Mortgagers up 11. I think I missed a lot of fun but this is a nice way to start the day!
You donât think Emoni Batesâ dad is pumped by the thought of Tom screaming at his kid, throwing him under the bus, and physically grabbing him if he walks away from a good berating? Thatâs gotta be good for Emoniâs brand right?
Woke up with this thoughtâŚ
Tom Izzo, up 11 at half in a âNCAA Tournamentâ game: publicly goes off on a player and presumably is raging in the locker room.
Juwan Howard, down 12 @ half @ Wisconsin: comes in room smiling, clapping. âWe got this boys!â
Some guys respond to Izzoâs tactics of screaming in their face. I donât think Gabe Brown is one of them and has never been (based on his lack of development and confidence this year). In fact, I donât think Rocket Watts responds well to that either.
Great coaches know who to scream at and who to encourage. I think Brandon Johns falls in the latter as well. Izzo, in my opinion, has held this team back tremendously even if heâs still a great coach.
Is he still a great coach? Or has he lost it? Take Cassius Winston out of the picture and do we think heâs still a great coach?
I dont get the sense really any of his players are that type. I think Izzo recruited a bunch of guys who dont respond to being screamed at and abused and hasnt realized it yet. And he doesnt have Cassius and Xavier to carry them this year.
Iâm of the belief that you donât ever have to scream in the face of or grab a player. Which isnât to say you never get upset. But if this is the best way to teach, then weâd do it outside of sports too.
Howâs this Indy tournament turning out? Are most of you still on board with it? It appears that several players are not. I still feel they shouldâve played their normal format as I stated before. Itâs time they give the kids their freedom back and not just them but our country.
Floating rates are usually pretty low
He has a win against Michigan this year, and with this roster. Heâs a good coach.
