Gonzaga getting some calls IMO
It must be weird for Gonzaga to even be trailing at this point, no?
Have they trailed in the tournament?
UCLA needs Tiger in the game! Yes he has 2 fouls but they have too many turnovers with everyone else trying to handle the point
This is where it bugs me that Gonzaga is undefeated. Great team, but would they be 30-0 in a power conference?
No (with more characters)
Thatâs the only thing that conflicts me about cheering for them. They donât deserve the âfirst undefeated season in 45 yearsâ hype, also because of the pandemic shortened season.
This is not a subject you can bring up around Zags fans even if theyâd likely be the best team in the country in a power conference (but would probably have a loss).
Beating the teams they beat in non-conference (and how they beat them) is very impressive, but itâs very different than consistently playing top 100 teams throughout the conference season.
UCLAâs offense is nothing but isolation ball, but itâs working.
And their game against Baylor was cancelled
Suggs on ball defense is suffocating. Seriously impressive.
At least in order for them to finish undefeated, theyâll have to beat Baylor.
Given the slow pace that UCLA plays at, Iâll update my projection to Gonzaga by 16.
What a fascinating first half. No one gave UCLA a shot but they are down one at half with a bunch of guys sitting out with two fouls. UCLA is well coached, has a game plan, and their players believe in it. Everything they do just seems so timely - timely stops, timely buckets (Juzang), timely offensive rebounds, and timely free throw defense Very impressed that the game after scoring 51 in the entire game against Michigan they can keep pace with Gonzaga for a half and score 44. I donât know if they have enough in the tank to keep up the rest of the game, but Iâm not betting against Juzang. Dude is on a MISSION
UCLA played possibly their best offensive half and is down 1, thatâs tough.
Juzang is - dare I say it? - having a Glen Rice-esque tournament.
They also played the last part of the half without Tyler, Jacquez, and Bernard due to foul trouble.
I remember Croninâs d at Cinci always gave top teams problems.
Bernardâs gotten a rough whistle tonight.
I feel like the refs, specifically in this tournament, have been waiting to see the outcome of the play before they blow their whistle.
