I’d wager nothing will come of it until the 2021-2022 season at the earliest. Wouldn’t be shocked if it was 2022-23.
Wonder if there could be any interest here
The NCAA process is glacially slow. Nothing will happen to Kansas or these other programs for at least 18 months from now.
Yep. NCAA is incredibly incompetent.
I would add Christian Braun to that list.
I think they are further along in the process with Kansas. They will probably announce penalties well before the 21-22 season, soon enough to affect 2021 recruiting, but not before the upcoming season.
I agree, and the Covid chaos probably means that it will be slower and that a lot of players will take a wait-and-see for now. The only difference would be if all hell breaks loose on May 20th, who knows?
I’ll believe that when I see it. Kansas will assuredly fight, appeal etc. A final decision could be a loooong way off.
He was always destined for Michigan!
Hey I’d take him for sure. Would be quite the story if he ends up playing for Michigan in the year 2021. He was kinda efficient for an absolutely terrible offense with an awful coach last year. Would assuage a lot of my depth fears at the 2/3 for sure.
I hope Juwan can sell him on competing with Smith as the other starter in the backcourt with Brooks. That seems like a pretty solid opportunity. Don’t know what the others have to offer in that respect. We definitely have geography on our side.
Jalen Coleman replacing Cole Bajema would be peak UMHoops message board fodder.
Blast from the past.
The single greatest thread in UMhoops history
That thread is pretty funny to go back to
Especially funny because JC has become nothing but a jump shooter which everyone was bemoaning about Duncan
I mean Duncan was only a shooter also. But yeah.
Having re-read that entire thread, it now being several years later, and revisionist history notwithstanding, is there anyone out there who can reveal WHY Jalen Coleman-Lands elected not to commit to Michigan when he had the opportunity?
It was weird, I remember he had an unofficial set up that he was supposedly going commit on then canceled it and beilein stopped recruiting him. Same thing happened with Trevon Bluiett.
Yeah I meant because the implication was that JCL would be something more than Duncan as far as other skills, but now he’s just a shorter worse shooting version of Duncan
He’s a bucket… Newark kid… would be a nice possibility as a transfer for whoever gets him but has declared without an agent I believe. First team all-AMEast this season.
