Just listened to the Caleb interview. Loved it. They say he’s kind of a quiet, cerebral kind of young man, but I loved the personality he showed here. Very well spoken, glad he plays for the good guys.
I really enjoyed his answer to the question, “Have you ever endured any shooting slumps like the one you were experiencing before tonight,” and he said, “Uhhhh…I can’t remember,” and then with a smile on his face and me literally saying the words to myself, “I guess it’s a good thing I can’t remember.” I know these questions have to be asked and they are certainly legitimate questions, but I wonder if it helps these guys’ confidence to essentially be told that maybe, before tonight in Caleb’s case, he wasn’t living up to OUR lofty expectations for him. Just a thought I have anytime a question brings up a player’s past performance when that performance wasn’t quite up to what he or we would expect or hope for.
