With a rotation of LaVert, Spike, Morgan, Nik and Donnal.
With our depth, we could play a starter 25-30 minutes and a backup 10-15 minutes at each position
I’m expecting Donnal to redshirt. He’s far too scrawny to play down low and I don’t think his perimeter skills are even close to what people think they are. At the 4 he’d be a very poor mans Smot.

agree…plus i cant see JB playing more than a 9 man rotation (at least once big ten play starts) with any type of regularity and I figure that spike, walton, stauskas, levert, irvin, griii, mcgary, horford, and morgan will make up that rotation. Donnal would have to beat out Biefeldt (wholl be in his 3rd year in the program and is significantly stronger) to even be the 10th guy

That is how we felt about Levert thought. I agree he is too scrawny now, but once B1G season starts maybe JB burns the Redshirt for Donnal’s ability to stretch the floor.

If Donnal can play defense and handle the ball like Caris, then Beilein may be tempted. He can't . At 200 lbs Donnal will have to be a tremendous 3 point shooter to force Beilein's hand. Here's hoping he is!
By the Big Ten season I could see Walton overtaking Spike, and Irvin doing the same to Caris. Honestly, out of the 2 players, I think Caris actually has a better shot at holding down his starting spot. Especially if his offensive game comes around and Irvin’s defense and weight (180lbs) aren’t at the place they need to be.
If GR3 and McGary adapt well to playing the 3/4, then they have the flexibility to start Morgan and bring Irvin or Stauskas off the bench (and use Horford as well if going big). Either way, I see Morgan coming back strong after a poor end to this season.
I see Morgan and Horford playing a lot though, and if LeVert can gain more weight then he will be a threat too with his strong defense and good shooting
