Love Michigan games at the Garden!
https://espnevents.com/jimmy-v-classic/tickets/
Thank you for your interest in the Jimmy V Classic Presented by Corona. The 2024 event will be played at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, December 11. Matchups and ticket information will be announced at a later date.
So Dec 11th in NYC, Dec 18th in CLT.
With the Coleman Hawkins addition, Michigan still opens as a bucket favorite?
Excited about this but Iām afraid weāre looking at two seasons in a row with nary an interesting non conference game in Ann Arbor. I sure wish weād schedule an interesting home and home like Illinois did with Bama.
Awesome, the schedule is starting to come together in a good way for the Wolverines !! Go Blue!!
Yep. Barclays and MSG last two years were almost oddly weak crowds. I remember Hunter doing everything he could trying to hype up folks at Barclays when we were killing Pitt or made the few-and-far between mini-spurts against ASU. And the fans just were giving nothing across the board (from any team in the event too).
St. Johns last year with Dug and Nimari going crazy we were freaking out in the crowd and were shocked there was absolutely zero juice around us in the building.
Hoping this Arkansas game is a classic

With Michigans schedule and the current roster - especially if they land Watkins - do you see Michigan making the AP top 25 at any point next season?
5 days away from this - anyone planning on going? Still contemplating
Iād be there if it were like Thursday-Sunday, but Tuesday is pretty hard to get down there from Boston for me.
Instead Iāve ploughed all my money into going to the LA games next month which is way less convenient!
Distance isnāt an issue for me, only decision is if i want to save my basketball budget for San Antonio
Iāll be there!
wish it wasnāt at 9PM but I will probably make the trek in from NJ!
Going! The St Johnās game last year was fun. Curious how much of a āhomeā environment Michigan can make it. Havenāt been to a true neutral game in Chicago or NY before, and my understanding is the UM alumni shows out
Past few years it hasnāt been as great, but pre-COVID was always awesome. BTT 2018 crowds were elite. The Rutgers game in early Feb. 2020 was electric (s/o Brandon Johns). The 2023 games against Pitt and ASU at Barclays were duds crowd-wise.
This Arkansas game should have great buzz though based solely on anecdotal evidence of number of people I know going
Those games were comically bad crowds all around.
I do think there ends up being a decent marketing effect based on organizer and tournament, etc.
I also think that Michigan crowds have almost always been better at the Garden than Barclays.
No idea on this one though. Feels like the situation is decent.
MSG should hopefully get some buzz for UofM people
All I know though is weāre gonna turn up for LA games!!!
I think the āCal factorā will bring some fans into the seats as well
Yeah, itās generally an event they sell tickets to pretty well I think. Last yearās FAU/Illinois box lists the attendance at 17k which is pretty good, although the night cap was UNC/UConn soā¦ maybe not doing those numbers.
Tennessee/Miami is the under card this year.
Iāll be honest i thought tickets were gonna be basically free by now but not the case!
