Their prized 5-star freshman shooter, D’Angelo Russell, has not yet received clearance from the NCAA Eligibility Center, which could obviously cause him to miss time this upcoming season. This would be a huge loss for them if he’s not eligible to play this year, as he was projected to start at the 2 and provide a big scoring boost. We all know how much their offense struggled to score at times this past year. This will be an interesting story to keep an eye on.
A non-qualifier is the worst nightmare for any coach, which is why our staff’s system of recruiting is so helpful, so that we only get players that have the ability to keep up in school too.
Looks like Russell is enrolled.
He didn’t come to Ohio State to play school.
