He’s gonna catch up to Roddy soon at this rate

Something else I’ve noticed in the last two games is that the officials really let both teams play. I also don’t think most teams in the Big Ten can do what Northwestern does as well as they do it. That said Michigan has to learn to deal with physicality better.

Seizing the convo in the pod - what team B10 is Vlad right now? No worse than 2nd right? (I know @DMB43 's AB10 ballot is Tre, Burnett, Gayle, Wolf, Goldin)

He’s leading the Big Ten in scoring on a team that is 6-1, so probably first team right now.

Didn’t realize he was leading the conference in scoring!

In Big Ten games, yeah, which tends to be what voters lean on more.

That’s an interesting take on a game with 68 total FTA

(haven’t listened to the podcast yet, but…)

one thing I am curious about is our defensive strategy going forward. Are we going to continue to switch 1-4 all game long every game? Seems like it is going to let other teams dictate matchups and good coaches are going to find ways to make us pay for that down the stretch. We might have to add some additional uncertainty to their gameplanning.

Against NW the end of the game and OT were an intentional foul a palooza. The Minnesota game had 33 FTA. That said the amount of FTA has little to do with how many could’ve been called. Both of these games were very physical. You could see especially against Minnesota that Michigan was expecting more calls. Because they were getting them earlier this season. The way these last two games were called is something Michigan needs to get used to because its normal in this league.

Vlad averaging 9 FTA on 77% is sooo sick. Almost helps me forget about Danny turning into a FT pumpkin

“People don’t understand”, Eric, you realize you’re talking to a lot of Lions fans who have historically been one of the worst NFL franchises for the last 40 + years. You guys have had a bad decade, yeah, not going to get a lot of sympathy.

I’ll take your word for it, I wasn’t able to really watch much of either game. But I just thought it was a surprising take given how much of a foul fest that NU game was even before the intentional fouls in OT
