Notes and pics from Italy

Pretty sure everyone is already on the board in the scoring column. Would suspect Michigan to win the first three games fairly comfortable, but the game against Mantova could be more difficult.

Doyle and MAAR the first 2 off the bench

First subs: Muhammad and Ricky
@umichbball
Michigan subs in @rickybdoyle and Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman, who drives in the lane and is fouled, two FTs. U-M 17-6

Dawkins with a 3

Then Aubrey Dawkins…
‏@umichbball now
Another transition lay-up from @rickybdoyle, U-M 19-6. Aubrey Dawkins enters game and DRAINS long three #ForzaBlu

Looks like Spike was having a few issues there…

39 point first quarter:

A 5-0 run by @DerrickWalton10 with a triple and driving layup as time ends, help Q1 finish with U-M up 39-13. #ForzaBlu

MAAR starts 2q with Cadis, AD, Kam and Donnal…interesting

MAAR ran some PG in the practice on Wednesday, but I figured that was partly because Spike had to leave early for a class. Seems like he could do it in a pinch and the 1/2 positions are similar in the O.

RT @umichbball And we are at the half with U-M leading 64-28. #ForzaBlu

Dakich, Sean Lonergan both with some playing time at the end of the first half.

Austin Hatch checking into the game

Really hoping Hatch gets to see the court at Crisler at some point. That would be one hell of a story.

Finally, MAAR closed with 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two steals. #ForzaBlu

Hope MAAR brings that attack with him all season. Be great to get guys in foul trouble, especially with the new rules, and get some easy points at the FT line.

…would like to track that for him throughout the games in Italy. Could be a great aspect for our backcourt.

Irvin with 11 reb? Something to be said for competition, but lawd have mercy.
