That was quite a victory today. I believe that was the first time in her career that Naz scored fewer than 12 points. She still has a strong game and so many others picked up the scoring load.

She’s super nimble. The past couple of years, I’ve seen Owusu and Diamond Miller run Michigan to death. Today was a different story. I am super impressed because I think both of them have a future in the WNBA.

No question Maryland has some outstanding players and a great program. Terrific win for our ladies today. I was so impressed with the way we handled Maryland’s pressure and that we refused to be sped up. Our discipline on both ends of the floor was outstanding. Our girls are very good and they are extremely well coached by KBA!

That was a great win. I only saw 1st half and was worried UMD would turn things around in 2nd half. Mich played a wonderful, physical, tough first half. Helps to make shots too.
Play of game was a Naz chase down block. An unbelievable effort on a run out w 9 seconds left in the half. Rebecca Lobo was color commentator and called it three steps before the shot. And then Michigan held tough for the last nine seconds to finish off the possession scoreless. Went into locker room flying. Really fun game.

Starting to think about a potential conference title. Haven’t played Indiana or Iowa yet, but we get the former only once this season and it’s at Crisler. Don’t have very many tough road games left - @ OSU, N’W, MSU (including just because it’s a rivalry, their team is mediocre this year) and Iowa. Get Maryland, Indiana and Iowa at home as well. Go 5-2 or 4-3 in those games and hold serve against the bottom of the conference and I’d have to imagine we’ll be in great position at the end of the year.

Maryland has been the class of the conference since the merger, so I’m not sure there is a tougher game on paper than the one we just took - so conference title is definitely in play.
We also, I believe, have the programs first top 10 ranking as of today.

They’re playing a lot better than I thought, but it’s games like Louisville that worries me come NCAA when they face teams who can shoot and are athletic. Michigan isn’t a great shooting team overall and have propensity to turn the ball over but if they can shoot decently and take care of the ball, they have a shot for an upset against elite teams.
