Michigan to play in 2021 MGM Resorts Main Event in Las Vegas

I lived there for 10 years. Just moved to Playa last February. Already have tix for the Vegas games.

Hey neighbor. Brentwood here. We love it too. We ride our bikes down San Vicente to Ocean all the time!

Thatā€™s my favorite too!

A lot of California residents here. My wife grew up in Thousand Oaks, but I met her at U of M and she stayed in Michigan afterwards. Pretty tough trade-off for her! We still try to visit Cali once or twice a year though.

Youā€™re only about 12 1/2 years late for me to be serving you strong drinks at the Prince Oā€™ Whales.

Just grabbed tix and will be making the trip down from Seattle. Go Blue

Whereā€™d you get them from? Iā€™ve been keeping an eye on Stub hub and there are only like 4 for sale

Heck yeah. Bout a 10min walk for me. Havenā€™t been able to go much the last year tho.

There should be plenty in the axs site.

How do we know what section the fellow UM fans will be in? haha

They have a link to designated school sections in both the upper and lower decks on the axs site.

Does anyone know when the actual times of the games will be released? Trying to get my flights soon.

I looked on the tickets proper on my cell: no times as of yet.

Logic would dictate that because Michigan is the only team in the Eastern time zone that they would be the earlier game but we all know logic doesnā€™t always work in these situations.

In 2019 the tournament was still played in the MGM Grand and was Sunday/Tuesday instead. Here are what I found for what the Sunday start times were then:

LAS VEGAS ā€” Clemson University menā€™s basketball will battle for the Heavyweight Championship belt of the MGM Resorts Main Event, tipping off with a matchup against TCU on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 10:30 p.m. ET. Tickets for the two-day tournament go on sale to the public on Friday at 1 p.m. ET.

Clemsonā€™s matchup with TCU will be preceded by Colorado vs. Wyoming which is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.

The consolation and championship games will be played on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. ET, respectively.

Iā€™m not sure what theyā€™ll do with the Sunday times for 2021 but I thought the scheduled late starts for 2019 were notable up against the NFL slate. Iā€™m going to be extra careful and just go Thursday-Tuesday. :innocent:

I appreciate you looking into that! I guess weā€™ll just keep an eye out for it.

Not sure whether or not Iā€™ll be safe with a 10pm flight on Sunday night hahaha. I guess Iā€™ll wait it out!

Dylan, if this goes against any rules, please delete this post, but I would like to officially unofficially invite any UMHoopsters who are attending the Main Event to have a pre-game get-together at 5:30 PM Pacific Time at the Beerhaus in New York New York Casino (I think) and about two miles to T-Mobile Stadium. The U-M game doesnā€™t start until 9:30 PM but this will allow those who want to go to the Arizona/Wichita St matchup at 7 PM to quaff a beer with fellow UMHoopsters. Iā€™m not making any reservations but I can try to procure one if those who are coming send me a PM RSVP. If someone else has a better suggestion (who may be more familiar with Vegas), I will happily turn over the reins, but I do think a pre- (or post-) game get-together would be a rip.
