Time Flies!

This is from August

Caris was really good last night!
Duncan was not, but he got 15+ minutes of run, which bodes well (even though they didn’t have Butler or Waiters in uniform).

Don’t think he’ll have to worry about Waiters

Waiters was quietly very good last year (shooting 38% on nearly 7 three-point attempts a game). Sort of what you’d hope Duncan can do in theory.

Yeah I didn’t mean cause Waiters was bad, but seems like he and the Heat are on the outs.

I read that they’d been trying to move him for most of last year with zero interest. Now with the suspension I don’t think Duncan has much to worry about there, he just needs to knock down his shots.

I would tend to think Waiters is going to play because they are going to want to dump that $12 million salary, and they won’t make him more appealing by stapling him to the bench.

Regardless, Butler’s presence will obviously reduce Duncan’s minutes in some fashion.

I’ll never not love Jordan Poole… even if he did miss 250 straight threes to close out last year. Love seeing him in the rotation for the Warriors

Yep. Rooting hard for the kid.

Pretty crazy to see him and GR3 out there

Well, Jordan is keeping that “missing threes” streak alive.

At least hes not shy…

Poole ( 2-13 ) 1-7 from deep for 5 points in debut.
Glen with 13 and 5. Warriors blown out by Clips.

Moe with 10 and 7 in a win last night. Might be carving out a role.

Wanna bet? He can excel just like he came into michigan with lo expectations. Nobody expect him to perform and lead UM in scoring? Some fans are funny. I think Iggy has a chance to be a good player. I bet no one thought of Caris as a phenomenal pro? Nobody thought Poole would be drafted as high. Um fans are the worse. They give up on players ect…I think that iggy can be a phenomenal pro if put in the right situation. The kid is talented. It may take years but he can be just as good as Caris and THJ …they are making bank and nobody thought that they will be good pros…I remember after the Arizona game, someone posted " caris is terrible. Not very talented. If I’m a nba scout…I’m not touching him" and someone also posted " he was a 2 star for a reason, he has no talent". This is how we treat our players. I think iggy can be a phenomenal pro and I don’t care who doesn’t like it.

I love Iggy’s pluck, but see him as a pretty limited NBA player. Hope that I am wrong! I just questioned–above–whether he was likely to become an NBA star–that still seems like a leap.

I think many of us thought that Caris was perhaps the best NBA prospect Beilein ever had.

Duncan scored 9 on 3/5 from 3 in 23 minutes for the Heat, as they beat the Bucks despite missing Jimmy Butler. It will be interesting what happens to his minutes when Butler comes back, lots the Heat unproven wings - Derrick Jones, Kendrick Nunn, Tyler Herro are playing pretty well so far.
