I am usually crazy-high on all of our ex players, but I would bet large money that you are wrong on this one.
Only the Knicks could trade picks, move cash and give guaranteed money to a future non-entity NBA player.
Yep, he comes at a rock bottom salary to help with their cap. This is a great opportunity to show case his talents but Iām not sure how many minutes heāll log.
I am elated for GRIII, and will be watching some Warriors games this season.
Their management is clueless, this was the year that KD was supposed to sign. Canāt blame IGGY, he got the guaranteed coin, take it and run.
You guys remember when Stauskas was super hot to start the year for the Blazers last year? That was so much fun
Didnāt GR3 start the season as the Pistons starting SF last year as well?
None the less, hoping he has a more successful season than he did last year in Detroit.
So for the people not too high on Iggy, why is that? I didnāt see him play much in the preseason (just the summer league) and Iām not familiar with the Knicks roster or even really coaching.
Just curious, because I think Iggy is a project but has a solid ceiling.
Well, the contract isnāt paying him for this triple-double seasons, itās paying him for his future seasons. To be precise - $170 million for his age 31-34 seasons, 1/3 of his teamās cap-space, to a guy with multiple knee surgeries, who had visibly slowed a step last year, and just had, literally, the worst shooting season of his entire career. Itās a bad contract!
Westbrook is my favorite player in hte NBA. Iām not remote predisposed against him.
Watching the Rockets play hurts my eyes. Itās a tossup now whether this yearās version will hurt even more, or whether itāll be entertaining to watch those two ``shareāā the ball.
I heard the Rockets have petitioned the league in an attempt to use two balls for their games. No feedback at this timeā¦
Doesnāt help for Iggy that the Knicks signed a bunch of combo forwards this offseason as well drafting Barrett and Knox in consecutive drafts. Heās currently behind both of those guys as well as Randle, one of the Morris twins, Bobby Portis. Not a lot of space for him to get any minutes at the 3 or 4 spot.
Heās really inefficient at this point, but I think Westbrook, just by his style, should make them more fun to watch in the short-term. They were the slowest team in the league last year, and I think heāll definitely speed them up and get them into the break. He didnāt play with nearly his typical wild abandon last year, but still more than most. Itās an open question how much Russell contributes to winning basketball, especially at this point, but heās still for my money a wildly entertaining watch.
To be fair, outside of Barrett, Iām not sure any of those guys are threes (Morris, Portis, Randle definitely arenāt, Portis and Randle would be 5ās before they were 3ās). They say Knox is, but Iām skeptical. Honestly, I think given the summer and pre-season thereās a pretty solid argument that while Knox has more potential, Brazdeikis would provide more value on the court today (part of that is Knox being historically bad last year).
On a different tangent - Glenn Robinson as a starting player anywhere is a wild statement on how hamstrung the Warriors were by hard-capping themselves. I always felt he was way too passive here at Michigan, and thatās only ballooned in the NBA - heās cracked 15% usage once. His three point %'s have at points been pretty good, but he shoots so few of them that one has to assume that he either only takes blindingly wide-open attempts, or just doesnāt take enough to stress the defense. Heās a pretty average defenderā¦Iām not that optimistic.
I am convinced he stole your girl
Very neat. How many guys we have on rosters currently? Is Nik still hanging on? Did Zak make the cut with the Knicks? Must be at an all-time high, no?
Nik is in Spain. Zak is on a two-way with the Knicks.
Nik is in Spain, zak is on a 2-way.
Trey, Tim, Cariās, DJ, mo, Duncan, gr3 all on rosters
No Jamal Crawford as of today
