- Will be 40 during the playoffs next year.
Robinson aside you would think that continuing to pay Haslem as a player and not a coach, and the salary cap implications of doing so, is sort of silly? Heās played a total of 270 minutes in the past three years, and last I checked, a spot just opened up on their coaching staff.
Pretty unreal he has been able to stick on a roster as a 6ā7 270 center for 15 years.
The early news out of Miami is that Duncan will not be waived by the Heat!
Congratulationsā¦D3 to the show!

Thatās awesome
This meanās Duncan is likely to make $1,416,852 this year.
DBO making millions in the NBA. Damn. What an amazing accomplishment. Who would have thought!
Fun Robinson anecdoteā¦I sat next to his family in Maui a few years back. I donāt think I was technically supposed to be there, but the tourney there can be so disorganized (imagine like an AAU event) and seat sections werenāt clearly labeled. In any event, I just remember my wife yelling at him for something and the Robinson clan shot some glances our way. I kind of assessed our situation and kept it all positive the rest of the way All things considered, they were really gracious and I was a bit embarrassed.
All this to sayā¦ who the hell saw this coming!? Super happy for him.
To allā¦chase your dreams! Every D-1 school in the country whiffed on this kid. He matured and grew into an NBA player!
Well done DR!!
So true man! On a smaller scale, I had a former player bounce around JUCO for a while before landing at a D3 school. Seems insignificant, but he was nowhere near that talented in HS. He really worked his ass off to improve and get to the point where he could play at the college level.
Persistence, commitment, and hard work donāt automatically yield resultsābut itās hard to achieve anything without that.
I think a lot of us saw more in him than what was on display at Michigan. Duncan was an amazing member of a team. He checked his ego and did what was asked of him. And now hopefully he will do the same and perform at the highest level when called upon.
Beilein wanted him to be more aggressive, pull the trigger on his shot without hesitation.
Unfortunately Duncan had that weird shooting funk his senior year. And since a college season is a pretty small sample, a prolonged shooting slump really drags down your performance that season. Looking back at it now, it would have been nice to maybe run some more sets through Duncan kinda like Purdue does for their shooters. But at the time his performance wasnāt really demanding it.
Breaking down how MSU, UM and other local standouts fared in the NBAās Summer League
Iggyās summer league play highlighted in Basketball Breakdown
Been waiting to hear where he was headed for a while now.
Itās an Exhibit 10 deal. Which means he gets an invite to camp and if he makes the team he gets a guaranteed deal I believe. If heās cut but signs with their GLeague team he gets a bonus.
