I think he was already on an Exhibit10 deal which takes you through training camp so my guess is that this is a two-way.
EDIT: Or they are just finally announcing the Exhibit 10.
You only get two two-way deals and Reaves and Ayayi have already signed those. So unless one or both of those guys gets a full time spot on the big league roster (Reaves is a possibility), then I assume it’s a G League contract? I’m not sure how that works.
They can offer the two a contract that guarantees a small amount of money ($50k normally?) that goes to a full minimum deal if they don’t get waived by the start of the season (which they probably will). The upshot for the player is that it’s basically a guarantee of a g league roster spot.
Twitter doesn’t know but speculates it’s Exhibit 10 (which they know Chaundee was already on). Mac wasn’t yet. So…
