Glad to see that Mathews is on a roster.

Who are Ignas and Walton with?

Walton is with the Kingā€™s I think and Iggy with the Magic

Thanks - I thought Ignas and the Magic had formally parted ways but I guess maybe be not on the G League level.

Itā€™s similar to the Pistons releasing Sirvydas but having him on the SL roster. I suppose in both cases that leaves the door open for a training camp invite and a new contract. At worst, they get to showcase their talents to other teams.

Iā€™d really love to see Michigan put together a TBT team with players that donā€™t end up in the league.

Pretty nearly same contract Iggy signed:

Wow thatā€™s awesome. Hawks only signed Sharife Cooper to a 2 way and he was a projected potential first round pick

The Hawks owner just went on an impromptu rant like a month ago about how heā€™s going to have to break up the team in two years because of potential luxury tax payments, so I imagine that went into Cooperā€™s number.

So happy for Livers. Now go get that second contract!

Well Hawks did avoid the Luxury Tax for this year which helps with repeater penalties which are brutal. I think itā€™d be more about roster spots in the decision with Cooper. He did say heā€™s fine paying it if the team is good. But yeah was definitely one of the most honest things Iā€™ve heard from an owner on the topic

The two Summer Lakers had efficient but brief appearances:

X played 11 minutes and was 2/2 (4 points) with 5 assists (and 3 fouls).
Chaundee played 16 minutes and was 5/9 (1/4 from 3) for 11 points and a rebound.

While obviously any audition in SL, regardless of who its with, is worthwhile to trying to claw out a a career, this Lakers Summer team seems to be one of the most pointless exercises in a long time. Since they dealt basically every draft pick they own and traded everyone younger than 34 aside from Talen Horton-Tucker, Iā€™m not sure this roster has a single player youā€™d reasonably expect to see on their roster this year.

Itā€™s been said maybe Reaves and Chaundee maybe one or two others were in play to get Two way deals from the Lakers but that was about it. So essentially the entire team is just playing for other teams to notice.

I read that Reaves and Ayayi told teams not to draft them and put them on two ways so they could go to a team that would give them a real contract. So they might get two year deals and the Lakers will have two more spots for two-way players.

They already signed two ways

I think heā€™s saying actual contracts might be given for Ayayi and Reaves, and then a two way would open up for Chaundee.

Ayayi hasnā€™t seemed particularly good early on, but still time left. Hoping Mac McClank doesnā€™t get one over Chaundee if itā€™s available.

I think theyā€™re playing for spots on the Lakers G-League affiliate. You can think of this as the Alex Caruso route.

I donā€™t understand Chaundeeā€™s PT though. Heā€™s playing well, looks like the best or second best NBA fit on the Summer League roster (not just per my biased eyes, but per folks on Twitter that cover the team, with the other being Austin Reaves) but didnā€™t start or finish the game last night.
