Moe looked really thin in the Olympics. Definitely more suited for the 4.
Eh…I think it just illustrates that he’s stuck in limbo between a 4 and 5 at the NBA level. He did play a lot of 4 for Germany. The issue is that he lacks quickness to really be a good 4 and he lacks size to be a good 5. There’s a role for him as a bench guy that is used in the right match-ups…if he can score. If he’s shooting well, attacking close-outs, etc. then he’ll get minutes in small doses when his defense doesn’t hurt them too much.
Yeah…2-6 from the FT line, but he def had Lakers Twitter buzzing as a guy that looks viable in the NBA.
Yup! I think he definitely is. I was hoping the Pistons would scoop him up but oh well.
I’m going back again tonight so hopefully I’ll have some good info to report back with!
Maybe Franz can also teach Moe one or two things of playing defense. He speaks German! It will also make Magic a default NBA team for German fans to follow.
Interesting that Moe and Lopez also played together at Washington last season.
Caundee didn’t get the start tonight, but played well.
Chaundee Brown had a strong effort off the bench for the Lakers with 12 points and four boards plus some strong defense, while Devontae Cacok added 13 points with six boards. Mac McClung pitched in 11 points in his 16 bench minutes, including a perfect 7 of 7 at the FT line.
Those are some names to get used to when the South Bay Lakers take the G-League floor for the coming season
I think the low-efficiency/frenetic pace of the G League has met its platonic ideal in Mac McClung. There will be some bananas stat lines.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he was the other Pistons two-way contract and that was the understanding before they drafted him.
Specifics:
Chaundee had 12 points in 17 minutes. 5/10 from the field, 2/6 from 3. 4 rebounds, 1 steal
In the prior game he had 7 points in 23 minutes. 2/4 from the field, 1/2 from 3 (2/6 from the line). Also had 3 boards in a steal.
X only played 1 game, had 2 points in 12 mintes (0/3 shooting), 4 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, 2 TOs
The Magic (Franz) and Bucks (Smith) haven’t played yet.
That official should be charged with crimes against humanity for calling that a charge. He should be in prison!
Ban the charge
Don’t block the box
Awesome. Defender was in no way established. May still suffer some PTSD.
I was at that game! Saw Steve Smith (MSU player) out by concessions. One of my best buddies was going to MSU and I was going to UM and obviously we both wanted Webber at our school.
I’m in favor of banning charge/block call because it’s dangerous for the game and officials are bad at it. The more we take the judgement out of their hands, the better.
I accept Venmo if guestavo ever accepted
