Not bad for two high school kids with one D1 scholarship between them! Hard Work=Hard Cash!
Literally, they were 1 for 19.
On the broadcast, they also said three players have had 8+ threes in back to back games this season:
James Harden
Damien Lillard
and
Duncan Robinson.
Just like we all expected.
Yup! Heās on pace to make the 5th most threes in a single season in NBA history. Only guys that would be ahead are Harden and Curry.
Just for fun, if we were to field an All-Wolverine pro team, I think it would go:
PG: Caris, Trey, DWJ
SG: THJ, Poole
SF: Duncan, Crawford
PF: GRIII, Iggy
C: Moe, DJ
I was thinking about this the other day, who would have guessed that the best future pro on the court in that nova michigan championship game was Duncan Robinson.
THJā¦putting up big numbers!
Well unfortunately we never got to see what he could do in that game because of the BS foul calls against him! Again, I wonāt let it go.
It was often said that Dean Smith was the only man who could stop Michael Jordan. It might some day be said that John Beilein was the only man who could stop Duncan Robinson. And itās almost a certainty that Juwan Howard is the only man who can stop Cole Bajema.
I donāt think itās fair to say Beilein held back Duncan. If thatās the case, did his DIII coach hold him back since he had so much success playing DI? Did his high school coach hold him back because he had so much success playing DIII?
The guy has legitimately improved every step of the way from being a normal high school baller to the NBA.
With the exception of Crawford, I think you mean recent graduate all Wolverine pro team. Otherwise, you would want to consider guys like Glen Rice, Chris Webber, Juwan Howard, Jalen Rose, Gary Grant, Loy Vaught, Rudy Tomjanovich, Tim McCormick, etc.
I mean, Crawford hasnāt retired, which is the only reason I have him in there. Heās still looking for a team and very recently dropped 51 points in the NBA, so I think heās got some left in the tank!
OK, I got it. All Wolverine pro team for guys still playing. No argument from me.
Probably switch Duncan and GR3, at least defensively.
It came down to defense, Duncan had a lot to learn when coming to Michigan in that regard. Most Heat fans would tell you straight up that heās not a good defender, but given that he has Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler on the team (two elite defenders), heās playable on that end.
Correct me if Iām wrong, but wasnāt there a long stretch of Duncanās senior year where he was in a shooting funk?
It was about a month and some change. He shot 25% or so I that stretch
I believe Bajema will stay next year and get fair rotation minutes next year. I think Juwan believes in him.
Iām very bullish on Cole but I think heās gone. The recruiting strategy has changed under Juwan and I think you have to guarantee 5 star kids minutes. I think he gets squeezed out and probably a better fit elsewhere. I hope Iām wrong but the culture of recruits has changed at UM.
Considering that John Beilein brought Duncan Robinson to Michigan. . . this is rather lazy thinking. Cole looks anything but alienated in recent photos of seen of himācheck him out in front on Senior Night. (Heās a long way from home, and I worried about him early.) But if Cole goes, honestly, Iāll tend to trust our obviously high-quality coach. Juwan has, of course, said nothing but pleasant things about the young man. . .
