Michigan Players in the NBA

Looks like Moe is already back into his super efficient pre-injury form. Today in 24 minutes he posted 19 and 9 on 7-11 shooting.

It’s still a shame we couldn’t see Caris as a healthy upperclassman. He could have been a NPOY.

It was a smallish sample size against mostly mediocre competition, but his senior year kenpom profile is nuts.

Duncan Robinson with 12 points in the first 5 minutes of the game. 4/5 from three already.

And Duncan coming out scorching the nets tonight. 4-5 from 3 through five minutes.

Sorry haha. Just beat you to it.

What’s quicker: Duncan’s release or vanarbor’s fingers?

Why does Kyrie hate LeVert?

Because the earth is flat.

As far as I know there is no particular beef between Kyrie and Caris but Kyrie is known for not getting along with his teammates just in general. And the Pacers have a student section esque fan group that are famous for their chants.

Duncan was quick to knock down his first 2 threes of the game tonight extending his ā€œgames with multiple 3s madeā€ streak to 23. He broke the Heat franchise record at 15 so I’d imagine he’s getting up there in terms of NBA record. I’m sure Klay or Steph probably hold that record with an absurd total but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Duncan getting close.

Knicks have actually been decent since Mike Miller took over (who, coincidentally, was rumored to join Juwan’s staff and then replaced Eisely as an ass’t with NYK). And really the Knicks would be more even competitive if they played R.J./Knox less. But of course the long-term plan is to develop those players. Anyways, I too would like to see Iggy get minutes (he’d probably be more effective than R.J./Knox), but don’t see it happening.

Because Kyrie, as he is wont to do, went to the media after a loss and declared something to the effect of ā€œwe have a good core, but we need other piecesā€, and then proceeded to list the ā€œcoreā€, and it didn’t include Levert (or Joe Harris which is funny because what team doesn’t need a volume 40% three point shooter).

EDIT: Will leave it here to enshrine my wrongness, but he DID include Caris in his ā€œcoreā€. So I have no idea.

Ha yeah I was about to say, I’m like 99% sure he included Caris in that.

I will say this - Caris was pretty damn bad when he came back and was coming off the bench to replace Dinwiddie and play with Kyrie.

When Kyrie got hurt, and Levert took his slot, he immediately started playing and shooting significantly better.

So maybe Kyrie is looking side-eyed at him now.

Caris shot 32.6% from the floor in his first 13 games back, coming off the bench, scoring 143 points on 153 shots.

Then Kyrie got hurt, and Caris popped into the starting lineup for their last 4 and is shooting 47.9%, scoring 100 points on 71 shots.

Gosh, it’s annoying having two different coaches with the name ā€œMike Miller.ā€ For some reason I thought the rumors were for Mike Miller who currently coaches at Memphis.

This has long confused me. And will continue to do so I imagine.

I think the rumors were more erroneous reports. Someone literally reported that Miller was going to be an assistant… the staff was announced or accurately reported about 24 hours later.

I think what’s more impressive, is that he’s had multiple threes in 37 of the last 38 games.
