Eh, no one will care after he announces his choice. Heāll be judged by whether his pick works out. The judgment will be harsher if he passes on Juwan or Yak and they become a star HC.

You have to ignore these national guys with this type of stuff, Cooley is a VERY media friendly coach so of course they love him. All the objective things showed that Cooley was a poor fit for this job.

Oh absolutely. I laugh at their takes more than I take them as fact. Good to follow for a national perspective across all of college basketball, but not trustworthy whatsoever from a Michigan direct perspective.
I am not talking about fans at Michigan but this move definitely makes Warde a few new enemies
Has Tom Penders always been this much of a loose cannon? His Twitter feed makes him sound totally unhinged.
He is retired, no need to hold back all the cannon balls he collected over the years.

If Cooley thought he was going to be offered the job he would be at UM.
Warde canāt win. Fans want a wide net cast, bitch about the qualifications of someone like Cooley, then when Warde decides the candidate isnāt deserving, thats an indication of him āgetting played.ā

I donāt think most people think Warde actually got played. But Warde can win by hiring the guy that will win the most games at Michigan. He can also buy himself some benefit of the doubt among the basketball mafia by treating basketball like a first class program at Michigan, alongside football.
