The other day I made a comment about this roster feeling like talented misfits that don’t mesh.

It’s easier to see tonight in a 20-point win but what does mesh?

  • Chaundee and Mike’s clear excitement and desire to just WIN
  • TWill’s overwhelming enthusiasm and energy as soon as he steps on the floor
  • Eli, Isaiah and Austin’s “been there, done that” senior leadership and cool/calm/collected stature
  • Hunter’s “go get a bucket” ability mixed with his “make the right play” passing/unselfishness
  • Franz’s ability to impact games when his shot IS falling and when his shot is not falling, and his willingness to help the team without forcing shots
  • Johns’ attitude. He would be a starter on so many good teams. He is often the first guy off the bench hyping his teammates when something good happens.

This team still has some things to figure out on the floor, but this team has TONS of intangibles to love that could make this a very special year.

Toledo’s heating up from 3 which is expected, but Michigan has only given up 5 3 point attempts this half. 7 attempts given up in the last 20 minutes after 14 in the first 13. Much better in that regard.
