I don’t think Baker is clueless, he’s just not good
The defense when Barnes and Will was actually good we just couldn’t score. Would love to see those guys blended with starters

I like the message Juwan sent to the starters by putting the bench in. He must have known that they would play hard if not perfectly. The level of effort was very good.
Something’s wrong if Hubter doesn’t put up at least 15-20 attempts per game.
Jaelin is really struggling. I think you see Dug’s minutes start to climb even with his freshman mistakes-he brings energy to the floor and can stay in front of his man on defense better. l like his confidence and willingness to initiate offense.

I’m glad he was over aggressive and stepped out of bounds because he probably would’ve absolutely yammed on someone and then as a result I’d have no choice but to rush the court

At least they didn’t cave. Maybe they have a good half.
Probably he didn’t either. But at this point I’m in the group wondering if it’s time for a defensive-whiz assistant. Yaklich is welcome back anytime if I’m in charge.

Cheddar is going to be good. He’s got potential. This team needs some young guys to develop. Lots of talent. Maybe some guys step up.

I couldn’t tune in until the under 12, so I mised the opening. But if that’s even necessary, well, you’ve got to wonder. That’s not good.
At least Kentucky is getting smoked by Gonzaga right now which makes tonight somewhat bearable. Kentucky basketball fans are equivalent to Ohio State football fans. Keep blasting Zags.

I think Baker makes more sense with the starters than the bench
He doesn’t get looks with the bench, which sort of makes his purpose moot

Sniper Baker gets precisely zero shots up playing with the bench guys. Don’t know if it’s Dug not executing the calls but it’s a waste to have a 40% three point shooter just running up and down the court doing other things he isn’t as good at.

Does anyone know if Dug has been on court at all with 4 of the starters? Seems like that’s prob a no. I’m curious if he would be as erratic/generally messy if he was paired with 4 competent guys instead of the full bench. Maybe the positive parts would translate a bit.
Baker being used more with starters also makes sense to me.
