Auto bench lives on. Michigan I believe, was plus 7 while Simpson was.out.
I had the same thought. That was so obvious. And he was right next to the backboard!
I donāt understand that last 17 seconds putting X in and JT after time on the bench leading to a run out and lay up

X hasnāt been great but we know who he is, no worries there.
Nunez so far is mostly an INC. Itās hard to get a read on anything except the fact that he needs to stop fouling.
DDJ looks like he has Poole syndrome right now. He needs to actually produce though.
Nunez and DeJulius are going to be short on future PT with that defensive effort.

Getting Franz back should give you a good 7 man rotation, and then Dave and Nunez can get minutes as it makes sense.

The thing with Nunez is I donāt think any of his fouls were shooting fouls. He wasnāt getting toasted on drives, just hand checking and sloppy D while trying to fight through screens. He needs to give himself a chance to stay on the court and make plays, or at least show that us he canāt play D haha

App State just outmanned personnel wise. Still nice to see us extend lead with X out so long. Encouraging. Starting to believe Eli is this seasons real outlier. Heās gonna play ALOT.
He was in the game against svsu to I wonder if the adjustment have been hardest on him
I had a late start and recorded the first half. Just caught up. I was very very skeptical going into this game but I think a lot of my questions were answered. Great half!
Eli (shooting, decision making) Johns (dribble drive), Nunez (made a shot in rhythm) all showed aspects of their game Iāve never seen before at this level. The offensive floor of this team rises a ton if they can continue those contributions.
DDJ looks unplayable, but I have a feeling those shots will go in at least sometimes. Bigger issue is I just donāt know who he can guard at this level. Donāt see it as a positive to play him alongside Xā¦
Castleton and Teske - loved it! The two big look could be viable. Never in my wildest dreams against any opponent did I think Teske could be a go-to guy for this offense to play through. Iām a believer now!!
And Livers is just such a solid, efficient, fun player to have. I thought he attacked close outs more smoothly and confidently than Iāve seen previously.
Overall my excitement for this season just quadrupled after one half of play and I didnāt know that was possible!!
