Franz Wagner to announce decision sooner or later

That sounds about right. I don’t see any reason to waste time. I also would appreciate this not going into the 4th of July

I’m not sure if he would be on campus for the summer semester or not either way.

The talk about Franz has been that he skipped two grades of school in Germany and Moe only skipped one, FWIW. Not really sure what to make of that as far as qualification but he’s been described as a smart kid.

100%. As Dylan noted below and has been said before, he’s a very smart kid. I was mainly basing difficulty on English being a second language and a test that still is difficult for US high schoolers, let alone foreign students.

Any way, wasn’t trying to derail the thread. I was just of the thought if he took the test more recently, I think he’s leaning Michigan. Just my opinion, that was all.

They must have changed the rule. All sports other than football and basketball now allow official visits at the beginning of their junior year of high school.

Possible, my old age does not allow me to read crap like ncaa rules.

Solid point, so probably changed the rule.

I think it has to do with the junior and senior year official visits. You now get 5 as a junior and 5 as a senior.

I’m going to venture a guess that he’ll let people know rather than just showing up in Ann Arbor.

Come on Dylan, let him just show up. Way more fun for everybody.

First commitment to be broken by someone spotting a prospect in class on the first day of summer term.

Am. Turkish? New place? Don’t love the one in Adams Morgan. It may be gone?

Yeah. If he got a 3.5 GPA in school, he literally just needs to sign his name on the SAT and he qualifies, lol.

Requirements are on Page 2: http://www.ncaa.org/sites/default/files/2018DIEC_Requirements_Fact_Sheet_20180117.pdf

The minimum score on the SAT is 400 (because they are bad at making a scoring scale).

Try Bedouin Tent on Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn. Beats Doner anyday.

Thanks, will check out next time in Brooklyn.

Nothing’s been decided. That’s all I can say :man_shrugging:

Are the Michigan coaches still only allowed to speak with Franz via telephone and not allowed to visit him? Does that restriction change at all over the next few weeks?

Does the restriction against seeing Franz in person also apply to the coaches meeting with his parents or with Moe?

They can talk on telephone, no visiting.

Those restrictions apply to Franz’s parents and his brother Moe just like they do with Franz himself?

Is there any time period over the next couple months that those restrictions are lifted?

He is about to make his decision so not sure that really matters

Off-campus, in-home visits with recruiting targets are not allowed until September, if I recall correctly. We’ll have to hope the phone conversations that have presumably occurred between Franz and the new coaching staff have gone well.

So the only face to face right now is an unofficial visit to the campus. Correct?
