Dug McDaniel with 24 points in a win over Arizona. Caleb Love went 3-15 from the field.
In a slightly separate timeline, a Dug/Love/Anderson back court would have been a wild experience.
Dug making a run for the best season from a transferred Michigan player
Still gotta be Hunter right?
One of us should do an update on everyone again now that we are in mid Feb. Maybe if work cooperates tomorrow I will dive into their stats and performances. Hunter is his usual self - for better or worse. Dug turning things around a bit. Tarris having a solid season too.
Havenāt looked up Barnes, Glenn, Khayat, etc
Khayat I believe was injured and has missed most the season
Technically not a former Michigan player, but it feels like it since he has committed to Michigan for so long. Christian Anderson played big minutes (37) for Texas Tech and scored 10 pts in a win over ASU in OT. Texas Tech do not have much depth because the other two bench players played 7 and 8 minutes respectively so CA is their primary bench player. He showed flashes of shooting, but he needs to bulk up a bit to get stronger. He looks to be a good player down the road.

I checked on Frankie Collins since weāre rooting for TCU to climb the NET rankings and heāsā¦wellā¦the same as always. Stats almost identical to last year. Not ābadā exactly, but certainly not good.
Heās been out for months fwiw.
Yeah, Iām guessing with Frankie they would be more comfortably in Q2.
ehh Iām not sure Frankie moves the needle much either way
Their next 4 games are tough so very possible they slip further down, or have a couple wins and solidify themselves
Frankie was playing the second most mpg and was one of their better players. Who knows whether theyād have more wins because the Big 12 is really tough, but even losing by smaller margins wouldāve helped their metrics.
They are 79 in NET, just outside of Q2. Wouldnāt have taken that much to be into Q2.
Hopefully they can beat ASU this weekend. Even though itās road, itās Q1 and one of their more winnable games left
I just donāt think Frankie is very good
Neither is TCU. And he was better than the majority of that roster. Doesnāt say a lot, but we are talking small margins between that game being considered Q2 vs Q3.
Youssef Khayat played their first 6 games and then was hurt for the year. He played 21 MPG for Bowling Green, scoring 8 points and getting 3 boards.
GWIII basically does not play for Richmond, unsure if thatās injury driven or if he needs to git gud
Isaiah Barnes is continuing to struggle to put the ball in the hoop. 52% from 2, 31% from 3, 54% from the stripe, almost 10 ppg, 5 boards in 27 mpg.
Greg Glenn is a BIG GUARD, putting up 9 points, 5.6 boards, and 3 assists a game in 26 mpg for Tulane.
Christian Anderson is scoring 9.5 ppg and dishing 2 dimes a game in 28 mpg for TTU, most significantly shooting 39% from 3 on 4.5 attempts per game.
TWIII played 7 pretty solid games for USC (10 points, 4.5 boards, 36% from three) before getting injured for the year.
Dug is living the Dug life, combinging a 46% true shooting (only @BigBoutros can come up with the proper term for this level of shooting), due to 26% from three with solid playmaking (4.7 assists) along with a bunch of turnovers. Overall, pretty stanky, but nothing matters in Tangworld this year.
Speaking of high volume low efficiency - Frankie Collins, prior to his injury, combined a 23% usage with a 48% true shooting. Thatās bad!
Hunter basically stopped doing three pointers (from both a quantitative standpoint in that he doesnāt shoot as many and qualitative in that he makes way fewer of those he takes). Other than that heās the same dude.
I thinks thatās everyone.
A striking thing to note here is that other than Anderson, how laughably bad the shooting from this crew is. Hunter and Glenn are the other two over 50% true shooting
Tarris is having a good year. 6%5 on twos, 24th nationally in block rate, 67% on free throws, top 25 in OR and DR rates.
Oh yeah, duh
Generally would say that that list shows how deeply rooted some of Michiganās problems were Momentum was not going in the right direction to put it gently.
The words āFrankie and Dug backcourtā are simply hilarious
Two guys headlocking each other at halfcourt in a battle for who gets to do the next stupid thing
