Former Michigan Players in the NCAA

No context is crazy! Injuries have derailed his season and his numbers

Lest we forget Tarris…AND ZEB JACKSON! Yes, believe it or not Zeb is still playing college basketball. He’s a super-senior for VCU this year and has played 20 games off the bench for them, averaging 21.3mpg. He continues the trend of former players who don’t know how to shoot with a 48% eFG% that is dragged down by his 45% 2pt%. His 3pt% is actually decent at 33% on 87 attempts this year. He is however shooting 88% at the FT line and averaging about 3.5 boards, 2 assists, and 1.5 TOs. VCU is having a really good season at 20-5 in second place behind George Mason in the A-10.

If we’re going to include Anderson, might also include Papa Kante as well. As a freshman for Pitt (14-10) he’s getting a handful of minutes per game off the bench where he’s 16-26 from 2pt and 15-24 from FTs.

Khani Rooths never quite felt like a Michigan guy given how short his commitment was, but he’s playing 13mpg for Louisville off the bench. He isn’t doing much in those minutes, but he’s at least in the rotation.

I swear he would have been all conference if not for that!

this is really sweet. for some reason i can’t picture the two of them talking. i guess i imagined them not knowing who the other was for the three years they shared on campus

one of those years was the covid year so it didn’t count, don’t you remember

Christian Anderson scored 21 pts, 7/13 FG, 5/8 3 Pt in 38 minutes in yesterday’s win over WVU. Turns out he’s more than good enough to be a contributor for a top 10 KenPom team.

His ORTG for the season is 120.9 at 59.4 eFG, 61.9 TS and 41.7 from 3 pt. He’s as advertised as an offensive threat.

He’s still a fairly low usage player and he’s taking 2x the number of 3s as 2s, so I’m really more curious how the D looks bc no way McCasland would give him tick without it. The little bit of his minutes I’ve seen he def looked bigger and was giving better effort than he ever gave for Germany.

While watching this Texas/LSU game, I started wondering whether there was an update on Laila Phelia and found out there was, but also that so many other former Wolverines are dealing with injuries this year

Its always crazy when I see people that JOHN BEILEIN recruited still kicking around college basketball. Ethan Morton was another one.

Zeb has another year?!?

Yeah, he should be able to get a medical for '21-'22 when he only played four games in the first third of the season.

Time for another update:
