He had an assist too.
I’m shocked that bringing on Jonny Evans and Harry Maguire at the back didn’t work out for Man U.
Harry Maguire finding new and interesting ways to be the most reviled player (by his own fans) on earth
To be fair, that disallowed goal for MU was veeeerrrrry close
That Declan Rice signing was already looking good, even better now
Tottenham has been recommended to me. I’m going to check then out.
ManU used to be the Yankees
Now they’re the Mets
Picked a good game to start.
City eviscerating Matt Turner has me feeling a little conflicted this morning.
Not Turners fault his defense left the best striker in the EPL standing alone on the six.
No Rodri for the match at Arsenal What a dumb mistake.
That’s Kalvin Phillips music!
Condolences to @umhoops for Man City going down to a blatantly superior side
All the metrics back this assertion up
City are a disaster without Rodri. Depth is a huge issue for this team across the board, and we definitely saw that this week, but I don’t know who they are beating without Rodri especially.
Peacock stream was glitching the first 20 minutes so had to turn it off. Would be nice if Wolves could translate their performances from ManU, Liverpool and City games into matches against lesser opponents. Shouldn’t be drawing Luton and squeaking by Everton
To be fair
City beat them like a drum
Just one of those bloody fate games
To drop my snack talk of Dylan for a moment
Great win today by “my” Spurs. Big respect to Liverpool. If they weren’t wearing red, they might’ve won me over today.
Don’t really think City did anything particularly impressive. Rarely looked dangerous, midfield was a disaster, didn’t control the game, Wolves sat back and City could do nothing to threaten.
City without Rodri, KDB and Bernardo ain’t City.
Lot of new guys out there, looked more like a preseason exhibition. Graelish has just been depressing this year even in spot duty and really needed him to take that step into locking down the left by now.
Will probably be humming around xmas, but feels like it might get rough here for a bit.
Yeah, after watching the replay this morning, I was very happy with Wolves’ organization. City had 8 shots on goal but most were from distance. To hold them under 1.0 xG (by most models I saw), is about as good as a team like Wolves could do. Now obviously Haaland or Alvarez or whoever could have scored a worldy and nobody would be shocked. But really, the only clear cut chance in the box City had was the Dias header off of a fk. Really the only way a team like Wolves can play City is play defense and hit on the break. Especially with nobody in the MF that can maintain possession on their own or ping it around. Game plan worked yesterday. Could play City just as well the next time but they score the tougher goals and lose 4-1.
I won’t argue with how well Wolves protected their side, but will just note most teams don’t score 2 goals on a single shot on goal for the match, so there was certainly some bloody fate in here
